1 Corinthians 5

5 ¹ It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and a kind of immorality not even found among those who don't know the Father: a man has his father's wife. ² And you are proud! Should you not rather have mourned, so that the one who has done this would be removed from among you? ³ For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit, and I have already passed judgment on the one who committed this, as though I were present. ⁴ When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus, and my spirit is present with the power of our Lord Jesus, ⁵ hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus.

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? ⁷ Clean out the old yeast, so that you may be a new batch, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. ⁸ So then, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

⁹ I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people ¹⁰ —not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would have to leave the world. ¹¹ But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral, or greedy, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or a swindler. With such a person do not even eat. ¹² For what business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? ¹³ Our Father judges those outside. "Expel the wicked person from among you."
