Isaiah 4

Book
Chapter 4.

On that day seven women will take hold of one man, saying, "We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace."

On that day the Branch of our Father will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and splendor of the survivors of Israel. a a v2 The Branch is a name our Father uses for Jesus, the promised descendant of David — the same title given to him later in Jeremiah and Zechariah.

The Branch, Beautiful and Glorious

And whoever is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy — everyone recorded for life in Jerusalem. when the Sovereign Father has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and rinsed the bloodstains of Jerusalem from within her by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of burning. Then our Father will create over the whole site of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day and smoke, and a bright, flaming fire by night; for there will be a canopy over all the glory. It will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and a refuge and hiding place from storm and rain.
