Job 26

26 ¹ Then Job answered: ² "How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the arm that has no strength! ³ How you have counseled the one with no wisdom, and abundantly shared sound insight! ⁴ With whose help have you spoken these words? And whose breath came from you? ⁵ The departed spirits tremble — those beneath the waters and all who dwell there. ⁶ The grave lies naked before our Father, and Destruction has no covering. ⁷ He stretches out the northern skies over empty space; he hangs the earth upon nothing. ⁸ He wraps up the waters in his thick clouds, yet the clouds do not burst beneath their weight. ⁹ He covers the face of the full moon, spreading his clouds across it. ¹⁰ He has drawn a circle on the face of the waters, at the boundary between light and darkness. ¹¹ The pillars of the heavens tremble, astounded at his rebuke. ¹² By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered the sea monster Rahab. ¹³ By his breath the heavens grew clear; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent. ¹⁴ And these are but the outskirts of his ways — how faint the whisper we hear of him! But the thunder of his power, who can understand?"
