For Di Sea of Tiberias
As dem go back to fishing and dem no catch anytin, dem pull one hundred and fifty-three fish because one stranger talk, and dem meet breakfast wey don dey cook. Near anoda charcoal fire, Jesus ask Peter three times whether e love am, give am sheep to feed, and tell am plain: follow me.
21 1After dat time, Jesus show imsef again to di disciples for di Sea of Tiberias—na so e take show imsef. 2Simon Peter, Thomas wey dem dey call Twin, Nathanael from Cana for Galilee, di sons of Zebedee, and two oda disciples dey togeda. 3Simon Peter tell dem, “I dey go catch fish.” Dem answer am, “We go follow you go.” So dem comot enta di boat, but dat night dem no catch anytin.
4As mornin dey break, Jesus stand for di shore, but di disciples no sabi say na Jesus.
5Jesus tell dem, “My pikin dem, una get any fish?” Dem answer am, “No.”
6E tell dem, “Trowey di net for di right side of di boat, and una go find fish.” So dem trowey am, and dem no fit pull am enta again becos of di plenty fish.
7Di disciple wey Jesus love tell Peter, ‘Na di Lord!’ As Simon Peter hear say na di Lord, e tie im cloth for im body—becos e don comot am to work—and e jump enta di sea. 8Di oda disciples come inside di boat, dey drag di net wey full of fish, becos dem no far from di shore, na only about hundred yard. 9As dem reach land, dem see charcoal fire wey get fish for on top am, and bread.
10Jesus tell dem, “Bring some of di fish wey una just catch.”
11So Simon Peter climb enta di boat and drag di net come land, e full of hundred fifty-three big fish; even as dem plenty reach so, di net no tear.
12Jesus tell dem, “Make una come chop mornin food.” None of di disciples get mind to ask am, “Na who you be?”—dem sabi say na di Lord.
13Jesus come, take di bread, and give dem, and di fish too. 14Dis na di third time wey Jesus show imsef to di disciples afta dem raise am from di dead.
15Afta dem chop mornin food, Jesus ask Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, you love me wit all your heart, pass dis ones?” E answer, “Yes, Lord, you sabi say I love you as friend.” Jesus tell am, “Feed my small sheep dem.”
16Di second time Jesus ask, “Simon son of John, you love me wit all your heart?” E answer, “Yes, Lord, you sabi say I love you as friend.” Jesus tell am, “Take care of my sheep dem.”
17Di third time Jesus tell am, “Simon son of John, you love me as friend?” Peter belle pain am say Jesus ask am di third time, “You love me as friend?” and e talk, “Lord, you sabi everytin; you sabi say I love you as friend.” Jesus tell am, “Feed my sheep dem.”
18“Truly, truly, I tell you: wen you young, you dey dress yoursef and go where you wan go; but wen you old, you go stretch out your hand dem, and anoda person go dress you and carry you go where you no wan go.” 19Jesus talk dis to show di kind of death wey Peter go take glorify our Papa. Den e tell am, “Follow me.”
20Peter turn and see di disciple wey Jesus love dey follow—na di one wey lean back for Jesus body for di supper and ask, “Lord, na who go betray you?” 21As Peter see am, e ask Jesus, “Lord, wetin about dis man?”
22Jesus tell am, “If I want make e remain till I come, wetin be your own for dat? You follow me.” 23So dis word spread among di brodas and sistas say dis disciple no go die. But Jesus no tell am say e no go die, na, “If I want make e remain till I come, wetin be your own for dat?”
24Dis na di disciple wey dey testify to dis tins and wey write dem down; we sabi say im testimony na true. 25Jesus do plenty oda tins too. If dem write each one down, I no tink say di world imsef fit hold di books wey dem go write.
