7 ¹The sons of Issachar were Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four in all. ²Tola's sons: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel—heads of their clans, mighty warriors in the line of Tola through their generations. In David's days their count was 22,600. ³Uzzi's son: Izrahiah. Izrahiah's sons: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, Isshiah—five chiefs in all. ⁴With them, by generations and family lines, were 36,000 troops for war, since they had many wives and children. ⁵Their relatives, all Issachar's clans, were 87,000 mighty warriors, listed by genealogy.

The Warrior Clans of Benjamin

⁶Three sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, and Jediael. ⁷Bela's sons: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri—five family heads, mighty warriors. Their genealogy counted 22,034. ⁸Becher's sons: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth—all sons of Becher. ⁹Their genealogical record, by their generations, listed the heads of their ancestral families and 20,200 mighty warriors. ¹⁰Jediael's son was Bilhan; Bilhan's sons were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. ¹¹These were Jediael's sons, family heads, mighty warriors—17,200 fit for military service. ¹²Shuppim and Huppim were the descendants of Ir, and the Hushites the descendants of Aher.

Naphtali: Sons Born to Bilhah

¹³The sons of Naphtali were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum—the descendants of Bilhah.

¹⁴Manasseh's sons: Asriel, whom his Aramean concubine bore; she also bore Machir, father of Gilead. ¹⁵Machir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppim; his sister's name was Maacah. The second was named Zelophehad; he had only daughters. ¹⁶Machir's wife Maacah bore a son and named him Peresh; his brother was Sheresh; his sons were Ulam and Rakem. ¹⁷The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, son of Manasseh. ¹⁸His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah. ¹⁹The sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.

Ephraim's Grief and Joshua's Line

²⁰Ephraim's sons: Shuthelah, his son Bered, his son Tahath, his son Eleadah, his son Tahath. ²¹His son Zabad, his son Shuthelah. The men of Gath, born in that land, killed Ezer and Elead when they went down to take the Gathites' livestock. ²²Their father Ephraim mourned for many days, and his relatives came to comfort him. ²³He slept with his wife; she conceived and bore a son he named Beriah, because tragedy had struck his household. ²⁴His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth-horon as well as Uzzen-sheerah. ²⁵Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son, ²⁶Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son, ²⁷Nun his son, and Joshua his son. ²⁸Their possessions and settlements: Bethel with its villages, Naaran eastward, Gezer westward with its villages, Shechem with its villages, and on to Ayyah with its villages. ²⁹Along the borders of Manasseh's sons: Beth-shean, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, with their villages. Joseph son of Israel's descendants lived there.

Asher's Sons: Warriors and Chiefs

³⁰The sons of Asher were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah; their sister was Serah. ³¹The sons of Beriah were Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith. ³²Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham, and of their sister Shua. ³³The sons of Japhlet were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were the sons of Japhlet. ³⁴The sons of Shemer were Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram. ³⁵The sons of his brother Helem were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal. ³⁶The sons of Zophah were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, ³⁷Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera. ³⁸The sons of Jether were Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara. ³⁹The sons of Ulla were Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia. ⁴⁰All these were Asher's descendants: heads of families, choice men, mighty warriors, heads of chiefs. Their war-service genealogy: 26,000 men.
