Esther 10

Book

The Greatness of Mordecai

Chapter 10.

King Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and on the coastlands of the sea. And all his acts of power and might, and the full account of the greatness to which the king had raised Mordecai, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? For Mordecai the Jew was second to King Ahasuerus, great among the Jews, and favored by the multitude of his brothers, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his kindred.
