Exodus 11

11 ¹ Our Father said to Moses, "I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. After that he will send you away from here; when he sends you away, he will drive you out completely."

² Now tell the people that every man should ask his neighbor, and every woman her neighbor, for objects of silver and gold. ³ And our Father gave the people favor with the Egyptians. Moreover, Moses himself was very great in the land of Egypt, in the eyes of Pharaoh's servants and the people.

⁴ Moses said, "This is what our Father says: About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt, ⁵ and every firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne to the firstborn of the slave girl who grinds at the mill, and every firstborn animal. ⁶ There will be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as has never been and will never be again. ⁷ But not even a dog will growl at any of the people of Israel, whether man or animal, so that you may know that our Father makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel. ⁸ And all these servants of yours will come down to me and bow before me, saying, 'Go out, you and all the people who follow you.' And after that I will go out." Then Moses left Pharaoh in burning anger.

⁹ Our Father said to Moses, "Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that my wonders may multiply in the land of Egypt."

¹⁰ Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but our Father hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the people of Israel leave his land.
