Genesis 7

7 ¹ Then our Father said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation. ² Take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, ³ and also seven pairs of the birds of the sky, male and female, to keep their kind alive on the face of all the earth. ⁴ For in seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the ground every living thing I have made."

⁵ Noah did everything our Father commanded him.

⁶ Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth. ⁷ He went into the ark, together with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives, to escape the waters of the flood. ⁸ Of the clean animals and the animals that are not clean, of the birds and everything that crawls on the ground, ⁹ they came to Noah into the ark, two by two, male and female, as our Father had commanded Noah. ¹⁰ After the seven days, the floodwaters came upon the earth. ¹¹ In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that very day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the sky were opened. ¹² The rain fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights.

¹³ On that very day Noah entered the ark, together with Shem, Ham, and Japheth, his sons, and his wife and the three wives of his sons, ¹⁴ they and every wild animal according to its kind, all the livestock according to their kinds, every creature that crawls on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every winged creature. ¹⁵ They came to Noah into the ark, two by two, every creature that had the breath of life. ¹⁶ Those that entered were male and female of all flesh, as our Father had commanded him. And our Father shut him in. ¹⁷ The flood continued forty days on the earth; the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the ground. ¹⁸ The waters surged and rose greatly on the earth, and the ark drifted on the surface of the waters. ¹⁹ The waters surged higher and higher on the earth, until all the high mountains under the whole sky were covered. ²⁰ About twenty-two feet deep the waters rose above the mountains, covering them. ²¹ Every living thing that moved on the earth perished: the birds, the livestock, the wild animals, all the creatures that swarm upon the earth, and all humanity. ²² Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. ²³ Our Father wiped out every living thing on the face of the ground, people and animals and crawling creatures and birds of the sky. They were wiped from the earth, and only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. ²⁴ And the waters prevailed over the earth a hundred and fifty days.
