I Will Not Keep Silent
62 1 For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a blazing torch. 2 The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name that our Father himself will give you. 3 You will be a crown of beauty in the hand of our Father, a royal crown in the hand of our Father. 4 No longer will they call you Forsaken, nor name your land Desolate; but you will be called Hephzibah—My Delight Is in Her—and your land Beulah—Married; for our Father's heart delights in you, and your land will be married. 5 For as a young man marries a young woman, so will your sons marry you; and as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your Father rejoice over you.
6 On your walls, Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; all day and all night they will never be silent. You who remind our Father, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes her praised throughout the earth.
8 Our Father has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: "Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have labored; 9 but those who harvest it will eat it and praise our Father, and those who gather it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary."
10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway; clear away the stones; raise a banner over the peoples.
11 Look, our Father has proclaimed to the ends of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, "Look, your salvation is coming; look, his reward is with him, and his payment before him." a a v11 Revelation 22:12 names this coming One — Jesus says, "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me." 12 And they will be called The Holy People, The Redeemed of our Father; and you will be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.
