Leviticus 6

6 ¹Our Father spoke to Moses:

²"If anyone sins, unfaithful to your Father, by deceiving his neighbor about a deposit, a pledge, or stolen goods, or by cheating him, ³or if he finds lost property and lies about it, swearing falsely—any such act by which a person sins. ⁴When he sins and is guilty, he must return what he stole, or extorted, or the deposit entrusted to him, or the lost item he found, ⁵or whatever he swore falsely about, he must repay it in full, add a fifth to it, and give it to its owner on the day he admits his guilt. ⁶He must bring his guilt offering to your Father: a ram without defect from the flock, at your valuation, as a guilt offering, to the priest. ⁷The priest will atone for him before your Father, and he'll be forgiven for whatever he did that made him guilty."

The Burnt Offering

⁸Then our Father spoke to Moses:

⁹"Command Aaron and his sons: This is the law for the burnt offering. It stays on the altar's hearth all night until morning, and the altar fire must keep burning on it. ¹⁰The priest is to wear his linen garment, with linen undergarments against his skin, then remove the ashes left after the fire consumes the burnt offering on the altar, and place them beside the altar. ¹¹Then he removes his garments, puts on others, and carries the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. ¹²The altar fire must keep burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest adds wood on it, arranges the burnt offering on it, and burns the fat of the peace offerings on it. ¹³The fire must be kept burning on the altar continually; it must not go out.

The Grain Offering

¹⁴"This is the law of the grain offering: Aaron's sons must bring it before your Father, in front of the altar. ¹⁵The priest takes a handful of the grain offering's fine flour and oil, with all its frankincense, and burns this memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing aroma to your Father. ¹⁶Aaron and his sons eat what remains; it must be eaten without yeast in a holy place, eaten in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. ¹⁷Do not bake it with yeast. I've given it as their share of my food offerings, like the sin and guilt offerings; it is most holy. ¹⁸Every male of Aaron's descendants may eat it—a lasting portion through your generations from your Father's food offerings. Whatever touches them becomes holy."

¹⁹Our Father said to Moses:

²⁰"This is Aaron and his sons' offering to your Father on the day he is anointed: about two quarts of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half in the morning, half in the evening. ²¹Prepare it with oil on a griddle, bring it well-kneaded, present the grain offering in broken pieces—a pleasing aroma to your Father. ²²The anointed priest who succeeds him from among his sons must prepare it—a lasting decree before your Father: it must be burned completely. ²³Every grain offering of a priest is to be burned completely; it must not be eaten."

The Sin Offering

²⁴Again our Father spoke to Moses:

²⁵"Tell Aaron and his sons: this is the law of the sin offering: slaughter it before your Father, where the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy. ²⁶The priest who offers it for sin must eat it; it must be eaten in a holy place, in the tent of meeting's courtyard. ²⁷Whatever touches its flesh becomes holy. If its blood spatters a garment, wash the spattered spot in a holy place. ²⁸The clay pot it is boiled in must be broken; if boiled in a bronze pot, it must be scoured and rinsed with water. ²⁹Every male among the priests may eat it; it is most holy. ³⁰No sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting to atone in the Holy Place may be eaten; it must be burned with fire."
