The Feast of Trumpets
The seventh month is full: trumpet blasts, the Day of Atonement's self-denial, then Tabernacles, where the bulls decrease from thirteen to seven across seven days before a closing assembly. Every feast has its exact offering, always alongside the daily one.
29 1"In the seventh month, on the first day, hold a holy assembly. Do no ordinary work; it is a day for you to sound the trumpets. 2Offer a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to our Father: one young bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old, all without defect. 3Their grain offering: fine flour mixed with oil—about six quarts for the bull, about four quarts for the ram, 4and about two quarts for each of the seven lambs; 5and one male goat as a sin offering, to make atonement for you. 6Besides the new-moon burnt offering and its grain offering, the daily burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings, by their rule—a soothing aroma, a fire offering to our Father.
The Day of Atonement
7"On the tenth day of this seventh month, hold a sacred gathering and practice self-denial; do no work at all. 8Present a burnt offering to our Father as a pleasing aroma: one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all without blemish. 9Their grain offering: fine flour mixed with oil—about six quarts for the bull, about four quarts for the one ram, 10and about two quarts for each of the seven lambs; 11also one male goat as a sin offering, besides the atonement sin offering, the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and their drink offerings.
