Psalms 130

Book

Out of the Depths

A Song of Ascents.

Chapter 130.

Out of the depths I cry to you, my Father.

Sovereign Father, hear my voice; listen closely to my pleas for mercy.

If you, my Father, kept a record of sins, Sovereign Father, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be feared.

I wait for my Father; my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Sovereign Father more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in our Father, for with our Father is covenant love, and with him is abundant redemption. And he himself will redeem Israel from all his sins. a a v8 The Father's promise to redeem his people from all their sins is fulfilled in Jesus, who was named to save his people from their sins.
