Psalms 130

130 ¹ Out of the depths I cry to you, my Father.

² Sovereign Father, hear my voice; listen closely to my pleas for mercy.

³ If you, my Father, kept a record of sins, Sovereign Father, who could stand? ⁴ But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be feared.

⁵ I wait for my Father; my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. ⁶ My soul waits for the Sovereign Father more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.

⁷ Israel, put your hope in our Father, for with our Father is covenant love, and with him is abundant redemption. ⁸ And he himself will redeem Israel from all his sins. ^a a v8 The Father's promise to redeem his people from all their sins is fulfilled in Jesus, who was named to save his people from their sins.
