Romans 14

14 ¹ Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to argue about their opinions. ² One person has faith to eat anything, while the one who is weak eats only vegetables. ³ The one who eats must not look down on the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat must not judge the one who eats, for our Father has accepted him. ⁴ Who are you to judge the servant of another? He stands or falls before his own master. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

⁵ One person regards one day above another; another regards every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. ⁶ The one who observes the day observes it for the Lord. The one who eats, eats for the Lord, since he gives thanks to our Father; and the one who abstains, abstains for the Lord and gives thanks to our Father. ⁷ For none of us lives for himself, and none of us dies for himself. ⁸ If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. ⁹ For this reason Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

¹⁰ But you—why do you judge your brother? Or you—why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of our Father.

¹¹ For it is written: "As I live, says our Father, to me every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess to our Father."

¹² So then, each of us will give an account of himself to our Father.

¹³ Therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make this your judgment: never to put a stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. ¹⁴ I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. ¹⁵ For if your brother is grieved because of food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy the one for whom Christ died by what you eat. ¹⁶ So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. ¹⁷ For the kingdom of our Father is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ Whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to our Father and approved by people. ¹⁹ So then, let us pursue whatever brings peace and builds each other up. ²⁰ Do not tear down the work of our Father for the sake of food. All things are clean, but it is wrong for anyone to eat in a way that causes someone to stumble. ²¹ It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

²² The faith you have, keep between yourself and our Father. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. ²³ But whoever doubts is condemned if he eats, because it is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.
