Psalms 138

138 ¹ I will praise you with all my heart; before the gods I will sing your praise. ² I will bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your covenant love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted your word above all your name. ³ On the day I called, you answered me; you made me bold, with strength in my soul.

⁴ All the kings of the earth will praise you, my Father, for they have heard the words of your mouth. ⁵ They will sing of the ways of our Father, for the glory of our Father is great. ⁶ Though our Father is exalted, he looks upon the lowly, but he knows the proud from afar.

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my enemies, and your right hand saves me. ⁸ Our Father will accomplish his purpose for me; your covenant love, my Father, endures forever. Do not abandon the work of your hands.
