Psalms 111

Book

Hallelujah

Chapter 111.

Hallelujah! I will praise our Father with all my heart, in the company of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of our Father, studied by all who delight in them. Splendor and majesty mark his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has made his wonders to be remembered; our Father is gracious, his heart full of compassion. He gives food to those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his commands are trustworthy. They are upheld forever and ever, carried out faithfully and with integrity. He sent redemption to his people; he decreed his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name. The fear of our Father is the beginning of wisdom; all who practice it gain good understanding. His praise endures forever. a a v10 Fear here means reverent awe and deep respect, not terror or dread.
