Psalms 122

Book

A song of ascents. Of David.

Chapter 122.

I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of our Father." Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem. Jerusalem, built as a city that is bound firmly together, to which the tribes go up, the tribes of our Father, as a decree for Israel, to give thanks to the name of our Father. For there the thrones for judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be at rest. May there be peace within your walls, security within your citadels." For the sake of my brothers and my companions, I will say, "May peace be within you." For the sake of the house of our Father I will seek your good.
