Psalms 146

146 ¹ Hallelujah! Praise our Father, my soul.

² I will praise our Father while I live; I will sing to our Father as long as I breathe.

³ Do not put your trust in princes, in a mortal who cannot save you. ⁴ His spirit departs, he returns to the ground; on that very day his plans perish. ⁵ Happy is the one whose helper is the Father of Jacob, whose hope is in our Father,

⁶ He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; he keeps faithfulness forever. ⁷ He brings justice to the oppressed; he gives bread to the hungry. Our Father sets the prisoners free. ⁸ Our Father opens the eyes of the blind; our Father lifts up those who are weighed down; our Father loves the righteous. ⁹ Our Father watches over the foreigners; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

¹⁰ Our Father will reign forever — your Father, Zion, to all generations. Hallelujah!
